Precision Rifle 201 — Intermediate Practical Rifle is designed for shooters who are ready to move beyond the bipod and develop confidence in practical field shooting.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to quickly build stable and repeatable shooting positions using tripods, barricades, rooftops, tank traps, cattle gates, and supported or modified prone positions. Instruction will focus on natural point of aim, effective use of rear and support bags, recoil management from props, and the ability to spot and correct impacts.

Students will also develop a practical wind-reading process using terrain, mirage, vegetation, and bullet trace. They will learn to make full-value, half-value, and bracketed wind calls, convert those calls into holds, and make corrections after a spotted miss.

The course concludes with a timed, multi-position stage that allows students to apply position building, wind calls, stage planning, communication, and shooting fundamentals under pressure.

This course is well suited for newer precision rifle competitors, hunters preparing for field conditions, and professional users looking to strengthen their positional shooting skills.

Students should arrive with a confirmed rifle zero, trued ballistic data, and a working knowledge of basic precision rifle fundamentals. Plan for approximately 120–160 rounds of consistent match ammunition.
